The Beacon Street Children’s Centre is Privately Owned and Operated; the Service is Accredited as determined by the NCAC National Childcare Accreditation Council in December 2008 and achieved a High Quality Standard, the Service has been in operation since April 2007.
The Beacon Street Children’s Centre provides the Highest Quality of Care and Education for all children between the ages of 6 weeks – 5 years of age.
The Beacon Street Children’s Centre is a small Boutique Centre and registered for a maximum of 37 places per day. The centre currently has vacancies available for full time and part time positions.
The Beacon Street Children’s Centre has in place seven Diploma Trained Qualified Staff and five Qualified Assistance, three of whom are in the process of completing their Diploma of Children’s Services at the end of 2009
A Kinder Program is in place for our 3 – 5 year old run by a Diploma Qualified Staff Member, all efforts are being made to acquire a Kindergarten Teacher with a Bachelor in Early Childhood Studies to run our exclusive 12 place kinder room.
All Staff are screened and have a current police check and working with children’s check which is a requirement within the industry.
Staff are expected to have a Current First Aid Certificate, Anaphylaxis Training, Emergency Asthma Management Training and Basic Food Handlers Certificate to ensure a safe environment is maintained.
A Home Economist / Cook has been appointed to provide an extensive menu to ensure the recommended dietary intake is maintained and available to all children.
All special dietary needs are catered for and discussed with Families / Guardians to ensure a safe healthy environment is maintained.
It is an expectation that all staff wear a hat during the summer months to role model and promote a safe environment. A Legionnaires Hat is made available on Enrolment for each child as part of our Sun Smart Policy.
