The Beacon Street Children’s Centre is Privately Owned and Operated since April 2007; the Service is Accredited as determined by the NCAC National Childcare Accreditation Council in December 2008 and achieved a High Quality Standard. The Service has implemented the New Early Years Learning and Development Framework to meet the New National Quality Standards.
The Beacon Street Children’s Centre provides the Highest Quality of Care and Education for all children between the ages of 12 Months – 5 years of age.
The Beacon Street Children’s Centre is a small Boutique Centre and registered for a maximum of 37 places per day. The centre currently has vacancies available for full time and part time positions.
The Beacon Street Children’s Centre has in place two (2) Advanced Diploma Qualified Educators plus two (2) Diploma Qualified Educators and Five (5) Certificate III Assistance. Four of these Educators are continuing with further study.
A Kinder Program has been implmented for two years and delivered by an Early Childhood Kindergarten Teacher with a Bachelor in Early Childhood Studies to our 3-5 year old group with a maximum of 25 children, assisted by a Diploma Qualified and a Certificate III Assistant.
All Staff are screened and have a current Police Check, Working with Children’s Check, Anaphylaxis Awareness and Management, Senior First Aid, Emergency Asthma Management Training, Basic Food Handlers Health and Hygiene Certificate which is a requirement of the Service's Policies and Procedures to ensure a safe environment is maintained.
A Home Economist / Cook has been appointed to provide an extensive menu to ensure the recommended dietary intake is maintained and available to all children. All special dietary needs are catered for and discussed with Families / Guardians to ensure a safe healthy environment is maintained. We only use Fresh Produce Daily and are a registered and approved member with "Kids Go For Your Life" Program.
It is an expectation that all Staff and Children wear a Hat during the summer months to promote a Safe Sun Smart Environment, Sunscreen is provided continuously throughout the day as part of the Service's Policies and Procedures. A Legionnaires Hat is provided on Enrolment for each child and all Educators are provided with a hat on commencement as part of our Sun Smart Policy.
